The Challenge

Kukd needed a modern platform to compete in the crowded UK food delivery market. The existing system was slow, difficult to maintain, and couldn’t handle peak-hour traffic. Restaurants needed better tools to manage orders and bookings, while customers expected a seamless ordering experience across all devices.

Our Approach

We rebuilt the platform from the ground up using Next.js for server-rendered pages that load fast and rank well in search. The architecture separates the customer-facing ordering flow from the restaurant management dashboard, allowing each to scale independently.

Payment processing was integrated through Checkout.com, supporting multiple payment methods while maintaining PCI compliance. Real-time order tracking uses WebSocket connections to keep customers informed from kitchen to doorstep.
